Heyo, i'm Ambra, thank you for visiting my website!
i like everything practical, therefore i consider myself an engineer of sorts. my projects can range from coding DSP blocks (in Rust btw) to taking old things apart, learning how they work and repairing them. i have built a small radio collection because of this habit.

in the past few years i've collaborated on multiple projects, many of which were played crucial role in honing my skills as a hardware PCB designer: it started as part of HackMods around two years ago, one of my first boards was a simple microcontroller and the main goal was to pack it all into a really small form factor. Things moved quickly, more recently i've worked on an xbox360 flasher board and a radio controlled thermostat featuring sensors and an e-ink display interface.

In my free time i like taking pictures of pretty things and experimenting. i have three digital camera bodies, as well as two film ones. i've modified two of the digital cameras: my main body, a Nikon D800, was adapted for full spectrum imaging. Most of the time i operate on the infrared spectrum as ultraviolet photography is too expensive for me, i still use a UV-IR cut filter to take normal pictures when needed.
The second modified camera is a Nikon D5000 that i've pieced back together from two broken bodies. I used two bodies to build a working single body, which only operates in manual mode, and i've done a bit of messing with the sensor lines to produce "circuit-bent" images. lastly, i have a Nikon D7000, which i mainly use for birdwatching and hiking in nature occasions as it's a very capable and light camera.
